ABOUT TOM: In 2008, Tom performed his own stand up show TOM-A-THON at the Adelaide Fringe and Melbourne International Comedy Festival. This follows the sell out success of last year's Helpmann Award nominated show TOM ON! and being invited back to perform at the Sydney Opera House for the second time. WHY DID YOU JOIN THE WALK:
Finding a cure for cancer or at least helping the search for a cure is obviously a good thing, but I'll be honest with you I'd never been to China. I got to help a great cause and see the Great Wall? It's a no brainer. It is the only charity event that was visible from space :-)
WHAT TRAINING HAD YOU DONE:
As my regular upkeep, I swam 800m in the pool every weekday. Now I know it was not the Swim to Beijing but surely that had to help with the stamina?
WHAT DID YOU LOOK FORWARD TO: Where do I start? Challenging myself on the walk, seeing China, meeting Sandy from Grease? They were all exciting!
