Kelly - I have some issues with heights. I was crawling on hands and knees in parts. But everyone else seemed so cool about it.
We loved the camping and felt so priveldged to meet and live among the locals for the first time there ever.
It was a bonding moment for us with the team too. We needed that.
The walk is tough. Much tougher than I thought it would be. We live in the woods back home and do a lot of walking so I thought this would be a breeze…but it’s not! I’ve had to dig deep to get through this.
Could not imagine how hard it must be for those like Olivia to have been doing this for so ling already. And she’s like twice my age! It’s been a long and challenging walk – I thought it would be long – but not this challenging and difficult. I am so impressed to see the others that keep going. Olivia is amazing, a real leader that doesn’t stop – even though she’s not well. I Take one glimpse at Olivia and see her plugging along and am amazed at her spirit.
We are here in body for only another two days but will be here in spirit when we leave …as we will keep plugging away for more sponsors! Seeing the effort that everyone here is going through to help others affected by cancer [like my (Scott’s) mum who recently had breast cancer] is a real inspiration.
